Prepare to read about case law and apply it to English learners in schools by developing understandings about the judicial branch.

In the previous section, students have learned about the social and individual consequences of deficit theory. They have also learned about language acquisition myths. They are now prepared to consider how courts make decisions about children and then how those decisions affect the actions of schools.
