Call For Chapters

This project began because Wikipedia information written in Korean, which currently contains instructional technology (instructional technology) and learning sciences (Learning Sciences) information, is struggling to reflect recent research trends and areas of interest. The purpose of this project is not to rewrite a web-based educational engineering textbook. However, the purpose is to collect educational engineering and educational method textbooks and published open access materials that have already been well written in Korea according to evidence, and to accurately present information related to the major field to everyone within the web space. In particular, information and knowledge from new media such as YouTube and blogs are mixed, and this is to provide accurate data and evidence about this. Through this, we aim to serve as a guide for beginners (students and practitioners) who are unfamiliar with the fields of educational engineering and learning science for getting into the major field.

Educational technology and learning science have made great progress over a decade. Starting from teaching design and media development, many interdisciplinary studies based on multidisciplinary research have been carried out, which has led to rapid changes and expansion of the content to be learned within the field of study. However, apart from such developments, materials that guide educational engineering and learning science in Korean in an open access space are still very limited.

The successful launch of the project requires the participation of many Korean researchers currently studying and developing educational engineering and learning science.

The goals of this project are as follows:

1. Identify the current status of educational engineering/learning science-related materials provided by existing new media, including Wikipedia.

2. Structure presentation and guidance on related materials for educational engineering and learning science research areas.

3. A guide to basic theories within educational engineering and learning science from changes in media from existing OLD/low-technologies to the latest learning technologies.
