Jewoong Moon

Hi, I am Jewoong Moon, an assistant professor of Instructional Technology at the University of Alabama. In summer 2021, I earned my Ph.D. degree of Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies at Florida State University. I am currently studying digital game-based learning, inclusive and immersive e-learning design, adaptive system design, learning analytics, and educational data mining. I am interested in exploring how immersive learning design and technology (e.g., data analytics, virtual reality, and games) can support marginalized learners in STEM education.
Gi Woong Choi

My name is Gi Woong Choi (최지웅), and I am an Assistant Professor of Instructional Design and Technology at University of Cincinnati. Before coming to University of Cincinnati, I was an Assistant Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at SUNY Oswego. I am a learning scientist by training and have a background in human-computer interaction and user experience. My current research interests include AI in education, mobile learning, informal learning, problem-solving, makerspaces, educational affordances of technologies, learning technologies in higher education, HCI in education etc.

My research is primarily engaged in a collaborative inquiry environment. I study how teachers can support this complex and ambitious learning process using emerging educational technology. My current projects include developing a cognitive orchestration assistant for collaborative learning in a game-based learning environment and AI student education for rural Indiana middle schoolers focusing on how AI is involved in students' lives and the ethics surrounding AI.
JaeHwan Byun

Wichita State University

I am JaeHwan Byun, an associate professor of the MEd in Learning and Instructional Design program at Wichita State University (WSU). My career goal is to seek ways to create a learning environment where learners can learn through aesthetic learning experiences which are engaging, infused with meaning, and felt as coherent and complete. The research topics I am currently interested in are learner engagement in online learning environments, digital game-based learning for refugee students, and learning analytics.
