QUESTIONS: Make connection

  • Explain what is happening?

  • How did those who were not sold to feel or were left behind feel?

  • Have you experienced such inequality before because of your gender, religion, and educational background?

  • How can we treat all people fairly and protect them from discrimination?

EMPHASIZE:

  • We are all entitled to the same right regardless of our race, gender, political belief etc.

  • All people should be treated with respect.

  • Discrimination against groups including women and children is a violation of their rights.

ACTIVITY:

Zoom: Pictionary.

Activity intructions (charade and pictionary): Invite every class member to write a word or pharse that has to do with equality. Each class member takes a turn acting out a word with no words or sounds. NOTE: This could be a team competition.
