    Northcentral University

    Barbara M. Hall has served for about two decades as an instructional and training consultant in multiple sectors, including the military, non-profits, and elementary, secondary, and post-secondary education. Barbara currently serves as the Director of Curriculum at Northcentral University’s School of Education and as an ad hoc instructional designer for Southern New Hampshire University. Previously, she worked as an Assistant Professor and Chair of the instructional design program in the College of Education at Ashford University and the Director of Community Development for a federally funded project at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Barbara earned her PhD in instructional design from Capella University; she is a certified peer reviewer with Quality Matters and a reviewer for multiple conferences and journals, including her appointment as an Assistant Editor for the Online Learning Journal. She has earned awards including best collaborative assignment (2017), second best quantitative journal article (2016), and outstanding faculty scholar (2015).
