An Ohio native, Courtney graduated with an M.A. in Literature from Eastern Michigan. She joined the faculty of South Louisiana Community College and has served as Department Chair and Assistant Dean. She is now an Assistant Vice Chancellor. Courtney is pursuing her doctorate in instructional design at Old Dominion University.
