Widad is an Online Learning Designer at the Centre for Innovation in Learning and Teaching (CILT) that is based at the University of Cape Town (UCT). Prior to working in online course and curriculum development, Widad has worked as a project research assistant, teacher and university tutor. She has hold a Master’s Degree in Education in which she has researched how social cohesion is incorporated into a teacher training (B.Ed) programme in South Africa. Most recently, she received her Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education Studies and will be pursing her PhD in which she would like to focus on inclusive and equitable learning design in the higher education context.
