Joseph Rene Corbeil, Ed.D. is a Professor of Educational Technology in the College of Education & P-16 Integration at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Dr. Corbeil is an experienced educator with 40 years of teaching in public and higher education, specializing in online education for 25 years. He is a published author in the field of e-learning, with notable recognition for his co-edited book "Microlearning in the Digital Age," which received the 2021 AECT Division of Distance Learning Best Book Award. Additionally, he has earned several other awards for his contributions to distance learning best practices, including integrating competency-based micro-credentials into stackable graduate degrees.
