Lucila Carvalho is a senior lecturer in e-learning & digital technologies at the Institute of Education, and co-director of the Equity Through Education Research Centre, Massey University (Auckland, New Zealand). Lucila’s research explores how knowledge and social structures shape the design and use of technology, and how technology influences social and educational experiences. Lucila’s latest books include Place-Based Spaces for Networked Learning (edited with Peter Goodyear and Maarten de Laat, Routledge 2017) and The Architecture of Productive Learning Networks (edited with Peter Goodyear, Routledge 2014).
