Avra Carpousis-Bowers, MD, MBA is a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician with extensive experience as a clinician and Physician Leader. Avra attended Pennsylvania State University, University Park, where she earned her BS in Biochemistry and her medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Avra completed her Internal Medicine Residency at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. Avra dually earned her MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is recognized as a Certified Physician Executive (CPE). Dr. Carpousis-Bowers has a passion for clinical excellence and value-based care by promoting coordination of care amongst patients, providers, families, and staff through trust, respect, and collaboration. Dr. Carpousis-Bowers enjoys working with providers, patients, and staff; developing and implementing quality of care initiatives; supporting efficient and effective utilization management; improving clinical outcomes; reducing heath care cost through reducing inappropriate utilization; and developing continuum of care, primary care, and specialty programs.
