Publishing a Chapter

After each chapter in your book has gone through the process of ensuring quality, you are ready to publish it! There are two ways to publish an individual chapter:

1st Option:

1. Start on the publication’s title page.
2. Click on the crossed out eye icon.
• If there is no crossed out eye icon, then the page is already published.

2nd Option to Change Publication Status:

1. Start on the specific page you are publishing.
2. Click on the drop down arrow next to the pencil icon.
3. Click on “Settings.”
4. Next to “Published” select the publication status you want. A chapter can be unpublished, published, or unlisted.
• Unlisted means that viewers can access the article via a direct link, but it is not listed elsewhere, so it won't show up on the Open Dental Ed page or library.
  
5. Click on the “x” to exit Settings.

Publishing the publication

Only site administrators can currently publish your project, which is necessary for it to be included in site maps, navigation, indexing, etc. If you have gone through the quality assurance checklist and are ready for your book to be published, please contact a site administrator.
