Accordions
This chapter discusses the use of accordions as a tool for organizing information and managing reader load.
Accordions (see example below) can be used as a way to organize information and to help not overload your readers with too much information at one time. It essentially can hide information until the reader wants to access it.
If you choose to use an accordion, make sure to include instructions on what you want your readers to do with the accordion.
Adding an Accordion
To add an accordion:
- Start on the page that you wish to edit.
- Click on the pencil icon to start editing the page.
- Select the area where you wish to add the accordion.
- Click on the “+” button in the top right-hand corner.
- Select “Accordion” from the features.
- Add text to the accordion.
- Save your content.
- Exit out of the editor by clicking on the “x.”
