Present tense verbs can have three meanings:
The verb ir means to go. It can be used to indicate destination, or to indicate future plans (as in what someone is going to do.)

ellos / ellas / ustedes van
Note that a + el = al. Similarly, de + el = del. (These are the only two contractions in Spanish.)
